Day and Night Description: "Sensuous actress Laure (Arielle Dombasle) and her producer Raoul Fillipi (Karl Zero) travel to Mexico to meet with a reclusive author Alexandre (Alain Delon) about the prospect of making a motion picture based on his first novel. The pair’s visit intrigues Alexandre and Laure is determined to win the leading role of the heroine in the film. She seems more than willing to seal the deal, even if she must seduce Alexandre to get it. Meanwhile, Alexandre’s young wife, Ariane (Marianne Denicourt) is having a passionate affair on the sly with a French-Mexican seismologist Carlo (Xavier Beauvois). This is all happening against a backdrop of a potential revolution in the local town, creating an imprending cloud on all that goes on at Alexandre’s hacienda.
